Jarron Jones shines against FSU

When the lights are on and the stage is the biggest, Jarron Jones has always shined bright. Saturday was no different, as Jones led the No. 5 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish with five tackles, 3 for loss. Althought his team fell to the defending National Champion and #2 ranked Florida State Seminoles, he harrassed reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston the entire night.

Jarron has been enjoying a breakout season in 2014. After playing in 12 games last year and recording only 20 tackles for the season, the redshirt sophomore already has 26 tackles, starting every game for the 6-1 Fighting Irish. He has blocked 4 field goals in the past two years, making him a valuable asset in the special teams game as well. The 2012 U.S. Army All-American is making a name for himself as one of the top defensive tackles in the country.
